Top 5 Restaurants- Grub Hut

The Grub Hut in Manville New Jersey is quite the little Mexican restaurant. It has a nice blend of traditional Mexican foods and American foods. The price is a little high for the type of place it is, but the food is just so surpringly phenomenal its's worth every penny.

It helps that every Monday they have two seperate deals for dinner, with all you can eat tacos for $15 or all you can eat barbeque ribs for $21. I've seen multiple trays of full baby back ribs just being brought to people one after the other to consume. The tacos are my personal favorite and they come completely customizable with your choice of hard or soft shell, chicken, pork, beef, or steak, and free side dish. the food is all freshly cooked so the delivery is a little slow for what appears to be a fast food restaurant but the quality is so good.

If you're not much of a taco or rib person person have other Mexican and American items such as burritos, quesedillas, burgers, fries, and much more, All of their fod is of really great quality so I really think you should check it out.

The address is 307 North Main Street, Manville NJ 08835-1346. And there phone number is 908 203 8003. Here is a link to their website,   http://www.grubhutbbq.com/

Top 5 Restaurants- Chimney Rock Inn

Another place worht checking out is Chimney Rock Inn in Boundbrook NJ. It's a nice homely restaurant that always seems to be packed out the door. The food is a lot like a high quality diner, which pretty much means they have everything, well at least everything Americanized. If you're in the mood for a burger, some pasta, bacon and cheese fries, onion rings, or whatever, if it's fried and deliscious this place is for you!

A personal favortite dish of mine is the Rock Fries, a huge plate of french fried covered in cheese and bacon bits. While it may not be healthy it's certainly deliscious. They also have an astounding apple pie, as you'd almost expect given the homely nature of the restaraut. You can also order an entire pizza pie all for yourself if you want, I mean they have just about every food commonly found in the U.S. And it all comes at a reasonable price too, especially for the treat you'll be giving your taste buds.

In true American fashion they give you 3 or 4 servings of deliscious fried food made to taste great with no health concern in mind whatsoever. This is not a place I'd reccomend for a weekly outing with the family, but from a few sepcial occasions, its not a bad place to eat. It's the kind of food you don't want to have too often, but it really makes an impression the few times you go. If you're planning on having a birthday party or a dinner get together I definitely recomend this place.

top 5 restraunts- Sushi Palace

Here's another restaraunt you might find rather enticing. It's called Suchi palace, and as you'd expect its primary dish is sushi, but it has a lot of other common Japanese dishes like Chicken temprua, Beef teryaki. steamed vegetables, etc... Now a fun fact you might not have known about me is that I'm allergic to sea food, which might come accross as strange since I'm writing about a sea food restraut, but from the limited dishes that I've had I can really say that it's a great restraunt.

While I hven't tried any of their sea food dishes I have indulged in their chicken teryaki which is my personal favorite. It's a long strip of steaming chicken covered in soy sauce and steamed onions served with a bowl of white rice. The amount you get is a lot, although it's a tad on the expensive side coming in around $12. But you're not only getting a meal of equisite quality but the restraunt just emits an atmosphere of fanciness which makes you feel like you're getting your moneys worth.

They have an all you can eat sushi buffet for all youu sea food lovers, and while it's expensive, all you can eat sushi seems like it would be worth the price, especially since it's made to an incredibly high quality.

Aside from the sushi and chicken teryaki I must recomend my all time favorite desert, which that restraunt happens to have. Fried ice cream. It is by far one of the most deliscous things I've ever had. Imagine a funnel cake filled with ice cream, it's simply fantastic. Whether you go to Sushi Palace for the all you can eat sushi, or the chicken teryaki I must say you need to try it if you find yourself at this restraunt.

Sushi Palace is located on 34 Division Street, Somerville NJ, 08876. And their phone number is 908 218 7888. Here is a link to their website http://chimneyrockinn.com/

Top 5 Restaraunts- Martino's Cuban Restraunt

Cuban food is one of my all time favorites, it takes some of the best qualities of Mexican food and mixes them with some qualities of Asian food, but the blend really becomes something else. Martino's cuban Restraunt is my personal favorite Cuban restraunt by far.

Their prices are pretty good for the amount you get, but what really makes it worthwhile is the fantastic quality of their food. You can be sure to be able to afford a full meal for roughly $10, but if you really want to get the most bang for your buck I suggest going on a week day for lunch. they have an all you can eat lunch buffet for just $8.75. While they don't offer everything they have on their menu in the lunch buffet they certainly give you enough to quench your apetitie.

Some personal favorites of mine are the Cuban Sandwich, The breaded chicken with black beans and rice, the Cuban croquetas, the empenadas and finally the tres leches. The Cuban Sandwich is your simple toasted sandwich with pork, cheese, seasonings, pickles, and mustard, but I personally don't like the pickles and mustard. It's authenticly made, as is all food from Martino's and it comes with a nice garden salad for an apetizer.

Another great entree is the breaded chicked with black beans and rice. They amound of food they give you for just $8 is astonishing, and the quality is just great. The chicken is fried to perfection and the black beans are more of a black bean soup, which blends perfectly with the rice. This dish also comes with a couple fried plantains, which are basically fried bananas covered in a sugary syrup, and they are a real treat. The Cuban Sandwich and the Breaded chicken dish are definietly two entrees you need to try.

The croquetas and empenadas are simply apetizers to your main course. The croquetas are a mix of mashed potatoes, pork, and spices for flavoring all fried togetether. It's a fantastic little treat for anyone who just wants something nice, small and warm to hit the spot. If you're not in the mood for it though, I strngly recomend the empenadas as a substitute, they come with a vegetarian option which contains steamed vegetables wrapped in fried bread, and a meat option which is a fried exterior of bread filled with a meaty interior of beef and pork for your pleasure.

Finally we have the tres leches, or in english, the three milk cake. It's a vanilla cake smothered in the three different types of milks and covered in vanilla frosting to be as sweet as perfection. It's really one of those things you have to try for yourself because words simply can't do your taste buds justice.

Martino's Cuban Restraunt is a family owned restraunt located in Someville NJ, and it's owned by none other than Martino himself. When you go into the restaraunt you feel more like your in a kitchen than in an actual restaraut and it's a rare day that you'll be able to have a meal their with having a conversation with Martino, one of the nicest people around. I certainly recomend it to everyone who's craving some deliscious cuban food.

The address is 212 West Main St, Somerville NJ, 08876 and the phone number is 908-722-8602. Here is a link to their website http://martinoscuba.com/

Top 5 Restraunts- Pinoy Goods

Have you ever been in the mood for delicious South East Asian food in central Jersey? Pinoy Goods in Somerville is a fantastic Filipino restaurant and super market. Its prices are absurdly cheap and the quality of food is phenomenal.
It’s owned by a small Filipino family in a quaint little location right off of main street Somerville. All of the food is authentic Filipino food, and prepared fresh every single day. It’s honestly like eating a fresh home cooked meal. Also as part of standard Filipino culture it’s bad etiquette to let your guests leave hungry, so as hosts the restaurant owners give you more food than you could possibly finish.
The food is based around meats, rice, and stews, specifically around pork and fish, however chicken is also widely used. They always have fresh grilled chicken sticks on hand, which are basically grilled chicken kabobs covered in a sweet barbecue sauce. You can also get a fresh cooked crispy pata, which is a deep fried pig leg, bone, meat, and all, covered in seasoned red and green pepper. If you’re someone who prefers seafood, they have delicious fried crab cakes, boiled or fried squid, and freshly grilled tilapia.
If you prefer vegetarian dishes they have many stews based around vegetables. They serve onion based stews, spinach based stews, and tomato based stews. They also give you a choice of white or fried rice to go with each meal. The fried rice is a personal favorite of mine, because it’s seasoned with garlic to make even the rice by itself a delicacy.
If you’re ever in the mood for traditional and authentic Filipino food served by some great people I highly recommend Pinoy goods. Meals typically cost a mere $5 to $15, and will fill you. It’s a very nice, small restaurant, and is very personalized to make every customer feel important. The address is 18 Division Street, Somerville NJ, 08876-2961, and the phone number is 908 450 9878.
